About
Interested in becoming a CPR instructor? Struggling to find a class near you? We have the answer! Using Health and Safety Institute's industry leading blended learning platform, instructor candidates will complete a self-paced virtual course followed by a live meeting, via Zoom, with an authorized instructor trainer to complete the class, including skills evaluation and preparation and presentation of a lesson. All necessary materials, including a CPR manikin and AED trainer will be shipped to the candidate's home (please allow two weeks for delivery.) *Please note: You MUST be certified by HSI at the course level you wish to instruct. If you are not currently certified, please consider taking one of our Virtual CPR Classes to get started! Once you sign up for the class, we will reach out within 48 hours to confirm your order and give you access to your virtual class. Your certified instructor trainer will track your progress and be available to schedule calls, chats or Zoom meetings to answer any questions you may have. Once the online modules are completed, you will then schedule a Zoom meeting with your instructor trainer to review information and complete skills assessments and mock lessons. These Zoom meetings are typically scheduled for 6 hours, but many candidates can complete them in about 4 hours. We will send you all the information you need to plan your lesson in advance of the Zoom session. Once you have completed the course, you will be sent a letter of completion that allows you to register as an HSI CPR Instructor. During the Zoom session your instructor trainer will explain how to obtain your instructor card and discuss options for providing training going forward, including starting your own training center or joining ours as an instructor while you get started.
